The Laboratory Animal Center building covers approximately 11,500 sqm, with about 9,000 sqm for conventional animal rooms and about 2,500 sqm for SPF (Specific Pathogen Free) animal rooms. The negative first floor houses the central cage washing area, equipped with Tecniplast cage washers.

The conventional animal rooms can accommodate nearly 1,200 large animals (monkeys, dogs, pigs) and nearly 500 rabbits, guinea pigs, and hamsters. The SPF animal rooms can accommodate over 20,000 rodents.

Animal Experiment Accreditations Include: Barrier system (rats, mice); Conventional environment (dogs, monkeys, experimental pigs, rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs).

Functional Laboratories: Include test article management center, cell culture laboratory, behavioral laboratories, large and small animal surgery rooms, pathology laboratory, necropsy room, etc., capable of supporting over a thousand preclinical pharmacology, toxicology, and related animal experiments annually.

Large & Small Animal Behavioral Laboratories: Employ triple-layer soundproofing treatment to provide a stable and quiet experimental site for behavioral research. Equipped with relevant experimental devices such as water mazes, Barnes mazes, open fields, elevated plus mazes, etc., to meet the simultaneous execution of multiple experimental projects.
